Cantieri Capelli

Capelli rigid inflatable boats

We added Capelli to our portfolio in 2019. We were particularly impressed by the meticulous manufacturing and unconditional service. And, of course, the boats are also extremely attractive. Italian design is and remains simply particularly aesthetic. Capelli rigid inflatable boats also offer a good functional layout and plenty of space on deck for several people. There is also plenty of scope for customization.

Decades of dedication

Capelli is one of the most traditional manufacturers, even though its history did not begin with rigid inflatable boats. The shipyard was founded by Davide Capelli in Spinadesco (Cremona, northern Italy) back in 1974. The shipyard on the Po River initially built flat-keel river boats made of fiberglass, followed by new types of canoes designed by Umberto Capelli for use in competitions. After GRP motorboats in the 1980s, the first inflatable boats with fiberglass keels followed in the early 1990s. Over the years, a love of RIBs and customer demand ensured that rigid inflatable boats became an increasingly important focus. Cantieri Capelli currently manufactures 17 different models of fiberglass boats and 47 different inflatable boats.

The key features

Excellent quality

We have seen many inflatable boats over the years, but Capelli's outstanding quality and attention to detail really surprised us. Every component is tested before assembly and again afterwards. Only first-class materials are used, such as the best resins, marine plywood, solid teak, stainless steel, and ORCA® (formerly known as Hypalon). Special attention is paid to the finish. Capelli's self-declared goal is to ensure that every customer receives a boat in perfect condition. You can find out more about the materials in our Material Guide.

Efficient manufacturing

The shipyard uses the most advanced boat building technologies available. Production is divided into areas for the various phases: fiberglass mold manufacturing, paint application, carpentry, assembly accessories, final assembly. This achieves a level of efficiency typical of large industrial production lines.

In-depth expertise

Capelli is a company with tradition and heart. Even today, the shipyard still benefits from its many years of experience in various areas of boat building. Highly skilled teams of experienced boat builders with remarkable team spirit and great dedication enable the high level of perfection.
